1. What was truth behind the original plot for Dallas?
Dallas was originally penned as the "Linda Evans Project" Linda Evans was originally planned to play the role of Pamela Ewing. The show would focus on Pamela Ewing as she entered the world of the Ewing's. Some sources suggest that Bobby Ewing was supposed to be killed off at the end of Episode 5 but David Jacobs stated in a an interview with Ultimate Dallas that this piece of trivia is totally untrue and that Bobby was an essential part of the show and there is no way they would kill off his character.

Before she could take the drink JR arrived home, insulted her, and downed the drink himself. Sue Ellen was to stand coldly by and smile awaiting her husbands demise.
Larry Hagman came up with the idea that JR would walk into the elevator door, and fall down the lift shaft!!!
